Nudists set skinny-dipping record

OCEAN ISLE BEACH There is no current record for skinny-dipping, so the number set Saturday is the new record.

249 people showed up at Whispering Pines Nudist Resort and Campground near Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., to take part in the American Association for Nude Recreation World Record Skinny Dip for the Guinness World Record in conjunction with AANR resorts nationwide at 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

The pool at Whispering Pines was filled, and many other participants used the pond adjacent to the pool to participate in the skinny-dip, which was the conclusion of Nude Recreation Week.
